ENGIE Secures 4.3 GW in New PPAs for 2024

In 2024, ENGIE announced a significant achievement by securing 4.3 GW in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), up from 2.7 GW in 2023. These deals, spanning five continents, equate to 136 TWh of electricity supply, reinforcing ENGIE's global leadership in the PPA market. The company holds a total portfolio of 14 GW in PPAs.
The new deals include partnerships with prominent tech companies like Meta and Google in the US and Belgium, and extend to sectors such as utilities and chemicals. The PPA market's growth is attributed to the rising demand for decarbonized electricity, especially in tech sectors.
ENGIE's notable achievements in North America involve 1.5 GW in PPAs and eight new projects planned between 2024 and 2026, including the 350 MW Chillingham park in Texas.
Besides PPAs, ENGIE advanced in Biomethane Purchase Agreements with companies like Arkema and BASF.
