EPC Group strengthens its presence in Brazil with the acquisition of Pirobras
EPC Groupe, listed on Euronext under the symbol EXPL, has agreed to acquire Pirobras Industrial LTDA, a key player in civil explosives in Brazil. Following Vibraquipo in Spain and Blastcon in Australia, EPC is continuing its geographic expansion strategy.
This acquisition involves 100% of Pirobras and will be finalized once administrative conditions have been fulfilled. No additional authorization is required in France or Brazil. The integration of Pirobras will allow EPC to further establish itself in the growing Brazilian market in the mining and quarrying sectors.
Pirobras, operating for 35 years and based in Minas Gerais, employs over 80 people. One of the founders will stay on until the end of 2025 to facilitate the integration. This strategic move supports the EPC's ambitious growth in high-potential markets.
