Esso SAF: Letter to shareholders and outlook for 2024
During the General Meeting of June 20, Esso SAF presented a strengthened financial balance sheet thanks to a favorable economic situation in 2023. This situation will make it possible to support investments and transformation projects focused on the energy transition.
The company is committed to improving its financial communication. Online voting introduced this year tripled the number of votes cast, excluding the majority shareholder, at the last meeting. Two new directors, Frédérique Le Grevès and Véronique Morel, have joined the Board of Directors.
Esso SAF is proposing a dividend of €15 per share, combining an ordinary dividend of €3, up 50%, and an exceptional dividend of €12, thanks to the solid results of the last two years. In March, a fire at the Gravenchon refinery was quickly brought under control, and the necessary preventive measures were put in place.
The company is aiming for carbon neutrality by 2050 and plans to produce 160,000 tonnes of biofuels by 2025. In 2024, Esso SAF is launching the "Driving. Differently" campaign to support the transformation of mobility.
