Eurobattery Minerals Seeks Strategic Project Status for Hautalampi Under New EU Act

Eurobattery Minerals AB, a mining company listed on the Nordic Growth Market and Börse Stuttgart, is applying for its Finnish Hautalampi project to be designated a Strategic Project under the European Union's recently approved Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). This project aims to bolster the EU's supply of critical raw materials needed for various strategic industries by achieving more secure, diversified, and sustainable access.

The company announced its initiative in response to an open call from the Directorate-General of the European Commission, aiming to align with EU's 2030 goals for a sustainable Europe. The recognition offers heightened benefits such as streamlined permitting and enhanced access to financing opportunities.

Roberto García Martínez, CEO of Eurobattery Minerals, stated the project aims to support EU's strategic materials goals while focusing on sustainable and responsible mining practices. The Hautalampi project has undergone a pre-feasibility study and possesses high-category minerals reserves, with environmental assessments underway.
