Euronext Securities Expands Services with Acupay Acquisition

Euronext, the leading pan-European market infrastructure, announced its acquisition of the Acupay Group on October 2, 2024. Acupay, founded in 2005, specializes in financial reporting, corporate actions, and securities processing. Known for its proprietary solutions, Acupay helps custodians manage cross-border withholding tax, benefiting cross-border investors.

This acquisition enhances Euronext Securities' service offerings, particularly in Italy, and leverages Acupay's technology across Europe. The acquisition is financed with existing cash, not affecting Euronext's deleveraging path. Euronext aims to offer new services to its clients and strengthen non-volume related revenue streams.

Stéphane Boujnah, CEO of Euronext, and Stef Lambersy, President of Acupay, expressed optimism about future collaborations, emphasizing the high relevance and quality of Acupay's services. Robert Apfel, Founder of Acupay, believes the acquisition marks an important milestone for Acupay.
