EVCS and Kitsap Bank Expand EV Charging in Washington State
EVCS, a leading operator of EV fast-charging networks on the West Coast, and Kitsap Bank, a community bank, have announced an expansion of EV charging infrastructure across Washington State. The first of four planned locations is now operational at Kitsap Bank's Gig Harbor branch.
This initiative involves installing EV chargers at four Kitsap Bank locations: Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, Kingston, and Belfair. Each site will feature four 150 kW DC Fast chargers and one Level 2 charger. The Gig Harbor site is already open, with other locations nearing completion.
The project aims to enhance EV charging infrastructure throughout the West Sound Ferry Access Area. Funded by the Washington State Department of Transportation and managed by Forth, this initiative supports the growing number of EV drivers in the region.
"We are thrilled to bring our fast-charging network to multiple key locations," said EVCS CEO Gustavo Occhiuzzo. Tony George, President & COO of Kitsap Bank, added, "We look forward to expanding EV charger access through additional Kitsap Bank locations."
