EW Healthcare Partners, a significant player in the trans-Atlantic healthcare private equity space, announced a strategic evolution in its leadership team. Dr. Petri Vainio has been elevated to Executive Chairman, with Dr. Evis Hursever stepping into the role of CEO. Scott Barry has been named COO, while Marty Sutter will assume the position of Founding Partner.
Dr. Petri Vainio, who has been with the firm since 2015, will continue to impact its trajectory by chairing the Investment Committee. As an influential part of EW Healthcare since 2011, Dr. Evis Hursever is set to lead the firm’s investment practice and team. Her previous successes include major transactions such as the sale of EUSA Pharma and Cognate BioServices.
Scott Barry, a member since 2006, will manage EW's finance and compliance functions. Co-founder Marty Sutter will concentrate on spearheading investment ventures, including Bioventus, MiMedx, and Prolacta. This leadership reshuffle aims to strengthen EW Healthcare's position in the healthcare-focused private equity sector.
