Exail Technologies wins order for deep-sea drone capable of operating at depths of 6,000 m
Exail Technologies has been selected by the French Directorate General of Armament to supply an autonomous drone system capable of operating at a depth of 6,000 meters to the French Navy. This program, of great magnitude for the company, will begin in October and will last approximately two years.
Controlling the seabed is a major strategic issue. The drone system proposed by Exail will protect underwater infrastructure and strengthen the maritime sovereignty of countries.
The drone will benefit from 40 years of experience in deep waters and will integrate cutting-edge equipment manufactured by Exail, such as an inertial unit and acoustic sensors. This project is inspired by the Ulyx model, capable of autonomous missions at a depth of 6,000 meters.
This order reinforces the group's momentum after the signing of a €60 million contract for K-Ster drones in July and other commercial successes. Exail is targeting significant revenue growth in the third quarter of 2024.
