Falcon Gold Corp Receives Approval for Drilling at Great Burnt Copper Project in Newfoundland
Falcon Gold Corp. announced its receipt of drill permit approval for diamond drilling at the Great Burnt Copper Project in Central Newfoundland. The company plans to initiate drilling to test up to 10 geophysical anomalies, spanning a maximum of 1100 meters. Positioned north of, and contiguous to, the Benton-Spruce Ridge Great Burnt Copper-Gold joint venture, Falcon's 2,275 hectares in the Great Burnt Camp seeks to explore further the copper and gold potential of the area.
The Great Burnt Copper Zone in the Benton-Spruce Ridge property, where recent drilling highlighted significant copper concentrations, indicates a promising prospect for Falcon’s adjacent property. This area is already known for deposits rich in copper and gold along a 14 km mineralized corridor. The Great Burnt greenstone belt, hosting Falcon’s property, is characterized by Besshi-type massive sulphide deposits, which are notable for their copper content and potential precious metals like gold and silver.
Falcon's CEO, Karim Rayani, expressed the company's readiness to commence drilling, emphasizing the untested potential of their claims along the conductive trend known for notable gold and copper mineralization. With plans in place to announce further exploration and drilling strategies, Falcon advances its exploration efforts in a region marked by substantial mineral wealth.
