Faraday Copper to Acquire BHP's San Manuel Property in Arizona
Faraday Copper Corp., a company listed on the TSX, has filed a management information circular for a special shareholder meeting on August 25, 2026. The meeting's aim is to approve the issuance of Faraday shares to BHP Group's subsidiary as part of acquiring the San Manuel property. This acquisition will expand Faraday's Copper Creek project in Arizona.
The acquisition is expected to unlock significant resource potential, positioning the combined site as a promising copper district. It also provides strategic advantages such as expedited production capabilities due to San Manuel's private land status. Furthermore, the project will benefit from additional infrastructure and aim to minimize its environmental footprint.
Post-transaction, BHP will own a 30% stake in Faraday, aligning with the strategic interests of both companies. Faraday's board strongly supports the approval of the share issuance.
