FE Battery Metals Announces Positive Laboratory Results Producing Lithium Carbonate Grades Exceeding 99% Purity
Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / June 13, 2024 / FE Battery Metals Corp (CSE:FE)(OTCQB:FEMFF)(WKN: A2JC89) has announced positive results from recent hydrometallurgical testwork. The company successfully produced battery-grade lithium carbonate from pegmatite samples at its Augustus Lithium Project in Quebec.
SGS Canada Inc. conducted the testwork at its Lakefield, Ontario facility. The complex eight-step process included roasting and purification phases, achieving a final lithium carbonate purity of 99.95% with a 74% recovery rate. Impurities were removed using a LANXESS MDS TP260 resin.
In addition, FE Battery Metals Corp has acquired 47 mineral claims northeast of Mont Laurier, Quebec, covering approximately 2,759.80 hectares. The area shows potential for rare earth metals and uranium exploration.
