Federal Ministry Funds Hanf Farm Bio-Economy Project with 1.6 Million Euros
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection has allocated 1.6 million euros to Hanf Farm GmbH, a component of SYNBIOTIC SE, for fostering advancements in the industrial bio-economy sector. This financial boost was conferred at the Hanover Trade Fair, where State Secretary Stefan Wenzel emphasized the significant role of research and development in bio-economy.
The grant aims to support the planning and establishment of a novel production facility that incorporates automation and AI technology for processing biogenic materials such as hemp and miscanthus. Project leaders from Hanf Farm highlighted this funding as a pivotal advancement towards automating and enhancing bio-economy practices sustainably.
Rafael Dulon and Michael Bieder from Hanf Farm expressed their gratitude and outlined the project’s potential to redefine material processing within the industry, significantly promoting efficiency and sustainability. The involvement of the BMWK was marked as a historic support for bio-economy developments, particularly in the use of organic raw materials in industrial applications.
