FireFox Gold Corp. announces promising developments on its gold projects in Finland
FireFox Gold Corp. has recently completed a drilling campaign on its Mustajärvi project, 100% owned in Finnish Lapland, comprising six holes for a total of 1,617.5 meters. This program aimed to explore the depth extensions of a high-grade gold zone near the surface. Analytical results are expected to be available by early March.
The company also reported encouraging surface sampling results on the Saittavaara prospect, located within the Jeesiö project, revealing a new gold mineralized zone with values of up to 6.28 g/t Au.
Furthermore, FireFox has secured exploration permits for three of its concession blocks covering approximately 22 km2, which will allow for intensified mechanized exploration work including drilling and sampling.
The Jeesiö project, 100% owned by the company, covers an area of around 74.6 km2 along the Sirkka shear zone, a trans-crustal structure playing a key role in the positioning of numerous gold deposits in Lapland. New mapping has identified four groups of gold anomalies along a corridor of about four kilometers.
The newly granted exploration permits cover nearly 22 km2 in the Central Lapland greenstone belt, a key area for the Finnish and global mining industry.
