First Phosphate Corp. Sponsors a Mining Event in Quebec and Launches a Panel on Indigenous Affairs

First Phosphate Corp. announced its participation as a Gold sponsor at THE Mining Investment Event of the North, which will be held from June 4 to 6, 2024 in Quebec. Simultaneously, the company is launching the first panel dedicated to Indigenous affairs at this event.

This panel, which will be held on June 5, will include discussions on industry best practices and a recent collaboration agreement with the Pekuakamiulnuatsh Takuhikan First Nation. Keynote participants include notable figures such as Ian Lafrenière, Minister responsible for First Nations and Inuit Relations, as well as industry and community leaders.

The company, under the leadership of John Passalacqua, plans to strengthen community development, bilingualism, and the integration of Indigenous people through this commitment. Event organizer Joanne Jobin praised the contribution of First Phosphate, both as a sponsor and a key participant on the Indigenous Affairs panel.

In parallel, First Phosphate focuses on the exploitation of igneous anorthosite rock phosphate in Quebec, planning to meet the demand for active materials for LFP batteries in North America.
