First Phosphate signs long-term agreements and explores financial partnership
Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean-based First Phosphate Corp. has signed two long-term purchase agreements with credible partners. These agreements aim to secure future phosphate production, thereby reducing project risks and improving their financing prospects. The signing took place on December 18, 2024.
In addition, First Phosphate is beginning discussions with the Pekuakamiulnuatsh First Nation for a potential financial involvement. This initiative is part of the collaboration agreement signed on April 9, 2024. The Chief of the First Nation, Gilbert Dominique, expressed his enthusiasm for this pre-sale agreement, welcoming an important milestone reached.
The company continues to meet the necessary conditions to start industrial operations in Quebec. These conditions include obtaining permits and obtaining the necessary financing. First Phosphate is committed to developing its projects in partnership with the local community.
