FlatexDEGIRO AG Appoints Oliver Behrens as CEO Starting October 2024

flatexDEGIRO AG has announced the appointment of Oliver Behrens as Chief Executive Officer, effective from October 1, 2024. Oliver Behrens, formerly the CEO of Morgan Stanley Europe SE and Morgan Stanley Bank AG, will also assume the role of CEO at flatexDEGIRO Bank AG. This appointment is subject to the customary approvals from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

In addition to Behrens' appointment, the Supervisory Board has also extended the contracts of Dr Benon Janos, who will become Deputy CEO while continuing his role as CFO, and Stephan Simmang, the CTO, until May 31, 2029. Dr Benon Janos will also serve as Deputy CEO at flatexDEGIRO Bank AG.

These changes follow the interim mandate of Dr Benon Janos and Stephan Simmang as Co-CEOs. They assumed these roles on May 1, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition after the departure of the former CEO. Their interim period will conclude on September 30, 2024.
