FORTEC Elektronik AG Confirms Preliminary Figures After 9 Months
FORTEC Elektronik AG has confirmed the preliminary figures for the first nine months of the 2023/2024 financial year. Group turnover reached EUR 70.0 million, an 11% decline from the previous year's EUR 78.5 million. Group EBIT also fell by 33%, from EUR 8.5 million to EUR 5.7 million, notably due to reduced stock changes and increased staff costs.
The data visualisation segment contributed EUR 41.7 million to the turnover, down from EUR 50.7 million the previous year. Conversely, the power supplies segment increased slightly, reaching EUR 28.3 million compared to EUR 27.9 million last year, mainly because of ongoing orders in the defence sector.
The order book stood at EUR 64.0 million as of March 31, 2024, stable compared to the previous quarter but lower than the previous year's EUR 92.4 million. Consequently, management adjusted its forecast, projecting a group turnover of EUR 95.0 to 100.0 million and a group EBIT of EUR 7.0 to 9.5 million.
CEO Sandra Maile expressed optimism, noting that the company's "Strong Together" strategy aims to leverage market recovery in the second half of the year. FORTEC benefits from its local presence, global networking, diversification, and high added value.
