Francotyp-Postalia Publishes Half-Year Figures
Berlin, 29 August 2024 - Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (ISIN DE000FPH9000) announced a drop in revenue and earnings for the first half of 2024. The company reported consolidated revenue of EUR 116.2 million, down from EUR 124.6 million in the same period last year. EBITDA also fell to EUR 14.1 million from EUR 15.3 million, maintaining a stable EBITDA margin of 12.1%. However, free cash flow saw a significant increase to EUR 10.7 million, and net debt was reduced to EUR 4.2 million.
Revenue in the Mailing, Shipping & Office Solutions segment declined by 4.1% to EUR 72.3 million. The Mail Services area also experienced a reduction of 9.3% to EUR 30.8 million. The Digital Business Solutions segment fell by 13.2% to EUR 13.0 million, although SaaS solutions within this segment grew by 29.9%.
CEO Friedrich Conzen emphasized the necessity of driving transformation to counteract the declining market trends. CFO Ralf Spielberger highlighted cost-cutting measures that helped maintain the EBITDA margin.
Despite the challenges, consolidated net income improved to EUR 2.8 million from EUR 0.9 million, and earnings per share rose to EUR 0.18. The company has adjusted its forecast for 2024, expecting a decline in sales of up to 6% and an EBITDA reduction of up to 12% compared to the previous year.
