Francotyp-Postalia Releases First Quarter Figures for 2024
Berlin, June 7, 2024 – Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG has reported a decline in overall revenue and earnings for the first quarter of 2024 despite an increase in revenue from SaaS solutions. The company's consolidated revenue reached EUR 59.7 million, a 6.4% drop from the previous year. EBITDA fell to EUR 6.6 million, marking a 24.1% decrease. However, free cash flow doubled to EUR 9.1 million, with net debt substantially reduced to EUR 5.8 million.
Revenue in the Mailing, Shipping & Office Solutions area decreased by 5.7% to EUR 36.2 million. The Mail Services division saw a 6.4% drop to EUR 16.1 million, reflecting the decline in mail volumes. In the Digital Business Solutions area, revenue fell by 9.9% to EUR 7.3 million. However, SaaS-based solutions saw a 40% revenue increase, driven by enhanced functionalities and integration.
FP's CEO, Friedrich Conzen, emphasized the need to advance the company's transformation program to stabilize revenue and profitability in 2024. CFO Ralf Spielberger acknowledged the challenges but highlighted robust development and significant debt reduction. Earnings per share increased to EUR 0.17 from EUR -0.01 in the same period last year.
The management expects 2024 revenue and EBITDA to be at or slightly below the previous year's levels, influenced by macroeconomic conditions and market developments in the mail sector.
