Franz Weinberger Appointed New CFO of Sixt SE

Sixt SE, the global mobility service provider, announced the appointment of Dr. Franz Weinberger as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), starting June 1. Currently serving as the Head of Corporate Finance, Weinberger’s elevation underscores Sixt’s strategy of internal development for leadership roles. He succeeds Prof. Dr. Kai Andrejewski, who steps down after a tenure marked by financial resilience and achievements including record earnings before tax in 2022.

The company also renewed the terms of Co-CEOs Alexander Sixt and Konstantin Sixt, along with COO Nico Gabriel for another three years, reinforcing the continuity of its leadership. This move ensures that the Management Board of Sixt SE will continue to comprise exclusively of leaders grown within the organization, highlighting a commitment to internal talent and long-term management planning.

Erich Sixt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, emphasized the depth of car rental experience within the board and thanked Andrejewski for his contributions. He praised Weinberger for his pivotal role in securing Sixt's first credit rating and managing the company’s inaugural benchmark bond issuance. Weinberger’s extensive tenure at Sixt, marked by significant legal and financial accomplishments, positions him as a key player in driving Sixt’s future growth.
