Freenet AG Reports Solid Start to 2025 with Revenue and Subscriber Growth

Freenet AG began 2025 on a positive note, confirming its financial guidance for the year. The company's subscriber base rose to 10.240 million, an increase of nearly 100 thousand from the end of 2024. Revenue experienced a modest uplift, growing by 1.7% to EUR 604.4 million compared to the previous year. The adjusted EBITDA remained stable at EUR 126.1 million.
The Mobile Communications segment saw a stable EBITDA contribution, whereas the TV and Media segment grew by 8.4% in adjusted EBITDA. This growth was fueled by a significant increase in waipu.tv subscribers, counterbalancing the decline in freenet TV users. As a result, the free cash flow also rose by 1.7% to EUR 75.8 million.
With these results, Freenet expects to achieve an adjusted EBITDA between EUR 520 million and EUR 540 million by year-end, maintaining its stable performance trajectory amidst a competitive market landscape.
