Freenet Reports Record Financial Results for 2024

Freenet AG has achieved a notable financial milestone in 2024, with record figures reported across several key performance indicators. Revenues saw a 3.9% increase, rising to EUR 2,478 million, largely due to the significant expansion of waipu.tv subscriptions, which grew by 571,000.

EBITDA rose by 3.5% to EUR 521.5 million, aided by a one-off sale of IP addresses. Additionally, free cash flow increased by 5.7% to EUR 292.3 million. The company proposes a higher dividend of EUR 1.97 per share, up from the previous year's EUR 1.77.

In the mobile communications segment, EBITDA climbed 1.7%, with notable growth in postpaid customers. The TV/Media sector saw a 15.8% revenue increase, driven by waipu.tv's subscriber surge. Despite increased marketing investments, results align within projected guidance, positioning the company for sustained growth.
