Bezannes, Tuesday 23 July 2024 – FREY, a key player in Europe's retail park and open-air shopping center market, has announced two significant strategic operations. The company has acquired ROS, the fourth-largest European outlet operator, and is set to develop its first project in Malmö, Sweden.

With this acquisition, FREY has expanded its portfolio to 31 sites across 9 European countries, valued at over 3 billion Euros. The Malmö Designer Village project is part of this strategy, aiming to create the largest outlet in the Nordic market. Phase 1, covering 18,000 sqm, is expected to open in the second half of 2026, followed by a second phase of 8,000 sqm.

ROS, an Austrian company founded in 2011, operates 12 outlet shopping destinations and manages 215,000 sqm of retail space across 8 European countries. This deal will integrate ROS into FREY's platform, enhancing both organizations' capabilities in third-party management and outlet development.

The financial details of the acquisition remain confidential, but the transaction will positively impact FREY’s earnings per share starting in 2024. The joint operations promise to generate significant synergies and growth opportunities across Europe.
