Fury Reports Significant Gold Intercepts at Serendipity Prospect
Fury Gold Mines Limited has announced promising results from its 2024 core drilling program at the Serendipity Prospect within the Eau Claire project in Quebec's James Bay region. Highlighting the findings, drill hole 24SD-009 intercepted 12.16 g/t gold over 3.0 meters, while drill hole 24SD-002 hit 5.27 g/t gold over 1.0 meter. These results suggest a potential expansive mineralizing system, as the intercepts are over 2 kilometers apart.
The Serendipity Prospect, located close to Fury's Eau Claire and Percival deposits, showed significant biogeochemical anomalies. These findings confirm the effectiveness of Fury's targeting techniques and provide a strong basis for future exploration. CEO Tim Clark remarked on the success of these strategies and the anticipated news from other projects, including Éléonore South and Committee Bay.
The technical team highlighted the importance of identifying pathfinder elements like Arsenic, Bismuth, and Tungsten. These elements help in understanding the structural controls on gold mineralization along the Percival to Serendipity trend. The varying proximity to deformation zones plays a crucial role in controlling gold mineralization and preserving mineralized bodies.
SVP Exploration Bryan Atkinson expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing exploration efforts. The Eau Claire property has consistently yielded high-grade results, underlining the potential for discovering additional resources. Fury plans to continue developing and testing targets across its expansive land package.
