Future Fuels Initiates Exploration Permitting for Hornby Project

Future Fuels Inc. has started the permitting process for exploration activities at the Hornby Basin Project, located 95 km southwest of Kugluktuk, Nunavut. The company plans geophysical surveys and geological mapping during the 2025 field season. Activities will occur on Crown Land, avoiding Inuit Owned Lands. President Rob Leckie emphasizes collaboration with local communities and high environmental standards.

The 2025 program aims to advance early-stage targets within the 3,407 km² Hornby Project. Focus areas include uranium and copper systems, with priority on a high-potential target area. A ground-based gravity survey, covering 12 km², will be conducted to identify mineralization structures.

The company plans to mobilize from Kugluktuk daily, minimizing environmental impact. An Environmental and Wildlife Management Plan guides field activities to protect local wildlife. Engagement with local and Indigenous stakeholders is ongoing.

Looking to 2026, Future Fuels plans a diamond drilling program, pending 2025 results and regulatory approvals. This marks their first subsurface testing on the project.
