Stream Hatchet Releases Q3 2025 Streaming Trends Report

In Q3 2025, global live streaming viewership reached a record 9.6 billion hours, marking a 13% increase year-over-year. Stream Hatchet, part of GameSquare Holdings, unveiled their findings in the latest Live Streaming Trends Report, highlighting shifts in the global streaming landscape.

A significant change saw TikTok Live surpass Twitch, drawing 9.2 billion hours watched compared to Twitch's 4.6 billion. Despite Twitch dropping below a 50% market share, it remains the leader in viewership. Esports events, such as the Saudi-backed Esports World Cup, experienced growth with 168 million hours watched, a 73% rise from the previous year.

Creator-driven events continue to gain traction, with Kai Cenat's Mafiathon 3 capturing 71% of Subtember subscriptions. FC Barcelona also recorded significant engagement with 3.2 million viewers tuning in for a live-streamed match against Como 1907.
