GameSquare's Stream Hatchet Highlights 2024 Live-Streaming Trends
GameSquare Holdings' subsidiary, Stream Hatchet, has unveiled the Save Point 2024 report, analyzing key shifts in the live-streaming industry this year. New platforms, popular streamers, and top games were focal points. Spanish-speaking streamers significantly increased their presence on Kick, accounting for 20% of viewership. Kai Cenat led in viewership hours with 185 million, fueled by marathon streams.
VTubers gained traction among English-speaking viewers with Ironmouse as a leader. DLCs, notably Elden Ring's "Shadow of the Erdtree," emerged as major events, hitting 127 million hours watched. Transmedia adaptations boosted viewership, with Fallout 76 streaming witnessing a tenfold increase post-TV series debut. The mobile esports sector saw a record peak with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang attracting 2.3 million viewers.
