Gamma Resources Advances Mesa Arc Uranium Project with Exploration Drill Program
Gamma Resources Ltd. has announced the submission of a Notice of Intent to the U.S. Forest Service for an exploration drilling program at the Mesa Arc Uranium Project in New Mexico. The plan includes drilling 10-12 exploration holes, each reaching depths of up to 500 feet. The groundwork requires the construction of drill pads and an access road while using existing roads. Equipment will be temporarily staged on-site for about 30 days.
The company aims to prepare a Plan of Operations for submission to progress through the National Environmental Policy Act review. The drill program aims to test priority targets, validate historical data, and explore region-specific uranium-rich stratigraphy. CEO Gabriel Alonso-Mendoza highlights this as a strategic milestone for Gamma's exploration efforts in the historically productive U.S. uranium belt.
The Mesa Arc Project now includes 41 lode mining claims and 185 new federal claims, spanning 4,520 acres. This expansion aligns with the growing focus on domestic uranium production against a backdrop of federal policy support and market deficits.
