Gas Liquids Engineering Completes Construction Scope for Ridley Island Energy Export Facility

Gas Liquids Engineering Ltd. (GLE) has completed its Issued for Construction scope for the Ridley Island Energy Export Facility (REEF) project. This project, located near Prince Rupert, British Columbia, is a joint venture between AltaGas Ltd. and Royal Vopak. It aims to bolster Canada's energy export capacity to Asian markets.

The REEF project, strategically positioned with access to the Pacific, is designed to be an open-access liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and bulk liquids export terminal. It has an initial capacity of 55,000 bbl/d for propane and butane, featuring advanced loading, storage, and transport systems. Ryan Arnold, VP of Projects at GLE, highlighted this as a significant milestone in the company's energy export endeavors.
