Gerresheimer to Acquire Blitz LuxCo Sarl, Expanding Its Moulded Glass Business

Gerresheimer AG announced its acquisition of Blitz LuxCo Sarl, the holding company of the Bormioli Pharma Group, in a strategic move to enhance its Moulded Glass business. The purchase agreement, valued at approximately EUR 800 million, aims to strengthen Gerresheimer's market position in Europe.

Bormioli Pharma operates nine production sites across Europe and reported revenues of around EUR 370 million with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 21%. The acquisition will expand Gerresheimer's product portfolio and improve its profitability, with an expected EPS accretion of over 10% from the first year after closing.

The acquisition aligns with Gerresheimer's "formula g" strategy, transforming it into an integrated systems and solutions provider. Both companies emphasize innovation and sustainability, aiming to offer more environmentally friendly and user-centric solutions.
