Glacis Labs Secures $2 Million for Enhancing Chain-Agnostic Operations

New York-based tech startup Glacis, known for its innovative Firewall and Router Protocol aimed at simplifying cross-chain operations, recently announced a $2 million seed funding round led by Arrington Capital and Paper Ventures. This investment is set to boost their development of security and efficiency solutions for chain-agnostic services across the emerging Web3 sector.

The company, in cooperation with Moonsong Labs, addresses the complexities developers face managing apps across multiple blockchains, which have surged alongside the rapid proliferation of these digital ledgers. Glacis is designed to facilitate a smoother operational process, shifting developer focus from infrastructure problems to innovation.

Founding Contributor Jacob Blish cited real-world issues like bridge hacks as a key inspiration behind Glacis, aiming to mitigate such risks by minimizing single points of trust and enhancing cross-chain technology's reliability and security. The tool also targets user-friendliness in utilizing blockchain bridges, traditionally known for their intricacy and vulnerability.

Oliver Blakey from Paper Ventures and Michael Arrington of Arrington Capital both recognized Glacis' potential to significantly influence decentralized application security in a multi-chain environment and foster standards for blockchain interoperability that could benefit the entire Web3 ecosystem.
