GECC Finalizes Sale of Sprott Shaw College to BPP Education
Global Education Communities Corp (GECC) has completed the sale of its subsidiary, Sprott Shaw College Corp (SSCC), to BPP Education Group. This transaction covers all 16 campuses and two offices of Sprott Shaw College. However, Sprott Shaw Language College, Vancouver International College, and Global Education Alliance remain under GECC's umbrella.
Toby Chu, CEO of GECC, expressed satisfaction with the sale, acknowledging the college's growth since 2007. Despite global economic challenges, Sprott Shaw College has achieved significant growth and respect within the education sector. Chu is confident about the college's continued success under BPP's ownership.
Graham Gaddes, CEO of BPP Education Group, praised Sprott Shaw College's history and educational contribution, stating the acquisition is crucial for BPP's expansion. BPP aims to maintain SSCC's adaptability to meet educational needs in British Columbia, reflecting cultural awareness and inclusivity.
