GECC Subsidiary Appeals Court Decision in Atmosphere Project Case

The parties have filed an appeal to the Court of Appeal for BC. This appeal challenges a recent Supreme Court decision concerning a credit bid acquisition of the Atmosphere property by a Toronto lender.

GEC Richmond seeks a stay of the Supreme Court's order, aiming to halt its enforcement. In conjunction with this, the Alderbridge parties also filed appeals. The ongoing legal proceedings include GEC Richmond's damages lawsuit against the lender, with the trial continuation set for October 13, 2026, lasting two weeks.
