Global Ports Holding PLC Delists from London Stock Exchange
Global Ports Holding PLC (GPH) has confirmed its delisting from the London Stock Exchange (LSE) as of 8:00 am BST on 9 August 2024. This follows the company's prior announcement on 11 July 2024 about its intention to cancel the listing of its shares.
Shareholders are reminded that the offer from Global Ports Holding B.V. (Bidco) for all issued share capital will remain open until 1:00 pm BST today. Consequently, GPH shares will no longer be traded on the main market of the LSE, leading to reduced liquidity and potential difficulty in trading shares.
From today, GPH will operate outside the regulatory framework that governs listed companies, and the protections of the UK Takeover Code will no longer apply. Shareholders should consult independent tax advisers to understand any tax implications of holding unlisted shares.
