Global Uranium and Forum Energy Metals Begin Drilling in Saskatchewan
Global Uranium Corp. and Forum Energy Metals have initiated a diamond drilling program and ground geophysical surveys at the Northwest Athabasca Project. Located along Lake Athabasca's northwest shore in Saskatchewan, Canada, the project focuses on Zone 2A and the Andy grid areas. SJ Geophysics is undertaking ground Time Domain Electromagnetic and Direct Current Induced Polarization surveys over the Spring Bay grid.
The camp construction, which began in February, is now complete. Supplies were primarily delivered using fixed-wing aircraft equipped with skis. A temporary ice road from Uranium City facilitated additional equipment and fuel transport. Diamond drilling commenced on March 19 with Team Drilling as the contractor.
The project, which spans 13,876 hectares, lies close to Uranium City. Global Uranium aims to earn a 51% interest in the project by investing up to $9 million over four years.
