Global Uranium Completes Remediation at Northwest Athabasca Property
Global Uranium Corp. has successfully completed environmental remediation at its Northwest Athabasca Joint Venture project in Saskatchewan. Partnering with Geosyntec Consultants, the company addressed the historical petroleum hydrocarbon impacts from previous exploration activities. Since 2021, efforts have reduced soil contamination to small, localized areas. Groundwater assessments revealed no contamination, improving the site's classification to "Not a Priority for Action" by the National Classification System for Contaminated Sites.
There will be ongoing site monitoring, but no further active remediation is planned. Global Uranium is now advancing plans for a winter drilling program to explore high-priority targets. CEO Ungad Chadda emphasized the importance of environmental stewardship and the potential for further exploration.
