GoldenPeaks Capital Expands Battery Storage in Poland
GoldenPeaks Capital, a prominent green energy producer in Europe, has completed the acquisition of two Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Poland. These projects hold a combined capacity of 54 MW or 216 MWh, strengthening the company's commitment to such technologies in the region.
The acquisition follows a successful 17-year Capacity Market contract secured during the 2024 auction, marking significant capacity payments for GPC’s BESS assets. The acquisition was finalized on June 6 after thorough due diligence and negotiation.
Adriano Agosti, GPC's Founder and Chairman, highlighted the collaboration among Mercer, Spectris, and GoldenPeaks Capital that facilitated the deal, emphasizing the role of BESS as a strategic component of GPC's growth.
With this acquisition, the company's BESS portfolio in Poland now totals 124 MW, aligning with its strategy to diversify energy assets and support sustainable energy solutions across Europe.
