GoldenPeaks Capital Launches Two Solar Power Plants in Hungary
GoldenPeaks Capital (GPC) has recently connected two photovoltaic projects, Bodroghalom and Nyékládháza, to Hungary's energy grid. This initiative marks a significant step in the country's transition to green energy, supporting energy independence and carbon neutrality.
The Zemplén Solar Park near Bodroghalom, operational since March 2025, generates about 94.6 GWh annually, serving over 30,000 people. It plays a role in Hungary’s Frequency Restoration Reserve market, indicating GPC's commitment to sustainable and reliable energy solutions.
Nyékládháza's solar facility produces close to 40 GWh yearly, powering approximately 13,000 residents. The project faced geotechnical challenges but was completed on time, contributing significantly to the grid and achieving notable CO₂ emissions savings.
