Goldman Sachs increases its stake in Alstom

On May 6, 2024, the American company The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. crossed the regulatory thresholds for participation in the capital of ALSTOM, now reaching 5.61% of the voting rights and capital. This change comes following an off-market acquisition of shares and an adjustment in the accounting of ALSTOM shares held, which put an end to the exemption conditions previously granted.

Goldman Sachs International, a subsidiary of the group, has individually crossed the same thresholds. The structuring of this participation includes debt held, call options exercisable before the end of December 2024 and put options until the end of 2025. In addition, Goldman Sachs also holds a significant number of shares via financial contracts such as warrants and swaps, potentially until February 2039.
