GovMint.com Debuts the Light of Liberty Trilogy Featuring Master Engravers

GovMint.com, a leading direct-to-consumer retailer of collectible coins, announced the first release in the Light of Liberty Trilogy. This collaboration brings together master engravers to reimagine the iconic Lady Liberty on U.S. coinage, starting in 1792. The series kicks off with designs from proven talents in numismatics, offering a fresh take on a historic symbol.

The initial release features work from Susan Taylor, a retired Senior Engraver at the Royal Canadian Mint, and John Mercanti, the 12th Chief Engraver at the U.S. Mint. Taylor’s design on the reverse portrays Lady Liberty as a powerful figure holding a flagpole on the seashore, while Mercanti’s obverse design showcases a bald eagle in flight, symbolizing liberty and freedom. This coin marks the first legal tender project collaboratively undertaken by Taylor and Mercanti.

Following releases will include designs by Natanya Van Niekerk and Jody Clark, enriching the trilogy with their unique perspectives. The coins are available in various denominations and sets, struck in 99.9% gold or silver with Ultra-High Relief designs and an enhanced reverse proof finish. Each coin features exclusive Light of Liberty labels signed by Susan Taylor, further adding to their collectible value.
