GPD Companies, Inc. Names Kurt Schuering as President and CEO
On June 17, 2024, GPD Companies, Inc. ("GPD"), affiliated with One Rock Capital Partners, LLC, announced Kurt Schuering as its new President and CEO, effective June 24, 2024. Paul Tayler will retire from his role but remain on GPD's Board of Directors.
Schuering brings nearly 30 years of experience in the plastics industry. His previous roles include President of PolyOne Distribution (now Formerra), Vice President of Commercial Excellence at PolyOne, General Manager at SABIC/GE Plastics, and Vice President at Shaw Development, LLC.
Commenting on his new role, Schuering expressed enthusiasm about leading GPD and working with its team to drive sustainable value. Paul Tayler reflected on his proud journey with GPD and voiced confidence in Schuering’s leadership.
Tony Lee, Managing Partner of One Rock, expressed gratitude for Tayler's dedication and welcomed Schuering, highlighting the new CEO's industry expertise and strategic vision for GPD's future success.
