Grace Pettis Releases Cathartic New Album, Down to the Letter

Award-winning singer-songwriter Grace Pettis has released her new album, Down to the Letter, via MPress Records. This highly anticipated second album follows her critically acclaimed Working Woman. Produced by Mary Bragg, mixed by Jon Estes, and mastered by John McLaggan, the album is now available on CD, vinyl, and all streaming platforms.

Down to the Letter is a deeply personal record, detailing Pettis’ journey through the end of a marriage and self-reclamation. The album features contributions from notable musicians, including Josh Kaler on guitars, Owen Biddle on bass, and Jordan Perlson on drums. The track "Joy" includes horns by Will Hawley and guest vocals from Robby Hecht and Emily Scott Robinson.

Pettis’ collaboration with producer Mary Bragg allowed for an intimate recording process in a supportive environment, essential for the emotionally charged vocals. The album includes ballads like "Horses," as well as candid tracks like "I Didn't Break This."
