Granite Creek Copper Launches 2024 Drill Campaign at Carmacks Copper-Gold-Silver Project in Yukon, Canada
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / August 19, 2024 / Granite Creek Copper Ltd. (TSX.V:GCX)(OTCQB:GCXXF) has announced the mobilization of drill crews and equipment to start drilling at its wholly owned Carmacks copper-gold-silver project in central Yukon, Canada.
The drill program will cover approximately 1,800 meters and will test new targets near existing high-grade resources. Primary among these targets is the Gap Target, which lies between the 147 and 2000 S zones and shows an Induced Polarization (IP) response nearly double that of the 147 Zone.
The project, well-situated along the Freegold Road and near the Yukon electrical grid, covers 177 square kilometers and contains over 824 Mlbs of Measured and Indicated and 29 Mlbs of Inferred copper equivalent metal. The project has a high-grade resource of 36.2 million tonnes grading 1.07% CuEq.
The 2022 Preliminary Economic Assessment highlighted the potential for increased resources and improved recovery rates. The new drill program aims to expand the resource base and extend the project’s mine life, adhering to high environmental standards.
