Green Bridge Metals Uncovers Significant Iron-Nickel Mineralization at Chrome Puddy Project
Green Bridge Metals Corporation, a Canadian-based exploration company, recently announced promising results from its prospecting activities at the Chrome Puddy ultramafic intrusion. The studies indicated significant potential for bulk tonnage nickel mineralization, primarily associated with iron (Fe) and nickel (Ni) oxides. Samples collected over a 2.5 km area revealed Ni values reaching up to 0.38% with an average of 0.20%.
The CEO, David Suda, highlighted the project's capacity to support the production of Fe-Ni concentrate through magnetic separation processes. Additionally, the prospecting identified opportunities for CO2 sequestration utilizing the serpentinite host rocks, potentially aiding carbon neutral mining practices.
Exploration at Chrome Puddy dates back to 1964, with historical data suggesting significant mineral deposits. The current exploration target is estimated at 80 to 100 million tons. This phase of prospecting included 109 grab samples, confirming elevated levels of both Ni and Fe. These findings compare favorably with similar large-scale deposits and present considerable exploration upside due to several untested conductors within the region.
