Greencells GmbH Announces Plans for Early Redemption of 2020/2025 Green Bond

Greencells GmbH, a Germany-based company, has announced its plan to early redeem the 6.5% Green Bond, initially set to mature in 2025. The redemption is expected to occur in the second quarter of 2024, involving a repayment at 102% of the nominal amount, which totals an outstanding volume of EUR 45.1 million.

The company intends to finance this redemption through bank financing obtained by Greencells Energy NL B.V., a subsidiary, from an Austrian international bank. This financial arrangement will facilitate the repayment of the bond and cover related liabilities. However, the exact date of the redemption will be specified later, depending on the fulfillment of several prerequisites not yet met.

Greencells GmbH will release the official notice of termination for the bond, conforming to the bond terms, and publish it on their website and the Federal Gazette during set timelines in the next year.
