Greene Tweed Extends Global Reach with Completion of Manufacturing Facility in South Korea

Greene Tweed, a leading manufacturer of high-performance thermoplastics and engineered components, has completed a new manufacturing facility in Ochang, Cheongju-si, Republic of Korea. This expansion marks a significant increase in the company's manufacturing capacity, particularly for its Chemraz® product line in the semiconductor market.

The facility will begin sample production immediately and aims to start commercial production by September 2024. Equipped with advanced technology, solar panels, and greywater recycling, the plant is set to reduce environmental impact while boosting operational efficiency.

"The opening of this facility represents a pivotal step in our strategic growth plan," said Magen Buterbaugh, President and CEO of Greene Tweed. The investment strengthens the company's ability to deliver high-quality products, particularly in the semiconductor industry, which is vital to the global economy.

The new site supports clients in Korea and the region. As the semiconductor market is projected to reach one trillion dollars by 2030, Greene Tweed is poised to meet both local and global demands, enhancing delivery times and business continuity.

The grand opening in June 2024 will gather stakeholders to celebrate this milestone and Greene Tweed’s commitment to the Korean market.
