Grid Battery Metals Advances to Third Phase of Exploration in Clayton Valley
Grid Battery Metals Inc. (TSXV:CELL)(OTCQB:EVKRF)(FRA:NMK2) has announced the results from its second phase of exploration at the Clayton Valley Lithium Property near Silver Peak, Nevada. The company is preparing for its third phase of the exploration program, which includes a four-hole drill program set for September 2024.
The recent exploration work, supervised by Rangefront Geological and Geologist/Qualified Person Steven McMillin, P.G., involved infill soil sampling. The results are now in from the assay lab. Grid's President & CEO Tim Fernback stated that these results, along with a completed magnetotelluric (MT) geophysics survey, aim to predict geological structures and potential locations for lithium accumulation in claystone and brine.
According to McMillin, a major northeast fault has been identified through gravity data, suggesting it may be a fluid conduit at depth. Based on geophysics and soil sample data, three drill holes have been selected in the south, pointing to possible lithium accumulation areas. A fourth hole in the north targets a low-resistivity anomaly.
Fernback expressed enthusiasm for the drilling program, emphasizing the completion of soil sampling, geophysical surveys, and a 3D Leapfrog model, which have identified four drilling targets to test for lithium-bearing brine and claystone.
