Grid Metals Corp. Begins Drilling at MM Copper/Nickel Project in Manitoba
Grid Metals Corp. has initiated its maiden drilling program at the Eagle gabbro site within the MM copper/nickel project in southeastern Manitoba. The newly started program follows the receipt of necessary exploration permits. The Eagle gabbro is part of the larger Mayville-Eagle complex, which includes the company’s 32.0 Mt Mayville Cu-Ni (PGM) deposit.
The drilling will focus initially on the historical New Manitoba deposit area. This site has experienced minimal exploration since the 1950s. Alongside drilling, the company will conduct ground IP and two advanced magnetic-EM surveys. Grid Metals is financially equipped to see the project through to completion, with initial assay results expected by mid-November.
CEO Robin Dunbar highlighted the potential for copper-dominant mineralization discovery. The drilling aims to expand the project’s resources beyond the existing indicated open-pit resource.
