Grid Metals Corp. Reports Promising Lithium Intersections From Falcon West Drilling
TORONTO, ON - Grid Metals Corp. (TSXV:GRDM)(OTCQB:MSMGF) has unveiled encouraging results from its inaugural drill program at the Falcon West Lithium Property, located in Manitoba, 110 km east of Winnipeg. The program, which consisted of 26 drill holes across two sites 750 meters apart, aimed at exploring lithium mineralization, a first since the 1950s, in this area.
The drilling efforts confirmed significant lithium intersections and the presence of other valuable elements like tantalum, cesium, and rubidium, indicating a highly fractionated, rare metal-enriched pegmatite system. Notably, the ArtDon target within the west area recorded 3.7 meters grading 2.83% Li2O, and the Lucy target in the east showed extensive lithium presence with up to 13.9 meters grading 0.73% Li2O.
Additional highlights include intersections with very high-grade lithium and cesium, pointing to a Tanco-type pegmatite system. The pegmatite unit discovered is traceable over 3 km, positioning the Falcon West property along a cratonic-scale tectonic boundary, which offers extensive lithium exploration potential over its 90 km strike.
Grid Metals plans further drilling to explore this favorable geological setting, given the property's strategic location near essential infrastructure and the current favorable market conditions for lithium due to its demand in the battery manufacturing sector.
