Grid Metals Outlines 4 km Copper Corridor at MM Project
Grid Metals Corp. has announced the identification of a 4 km copper corridor at its MM copper/nickel project in Manitoba. The company's exploration program has confirmed copper/nickel mineralization in various outcrops along this trend, known as the Eagle gabbro. The area is part of the Mayville-Eagle complex, hosting significant mineral resources.
Mineralization is linked to a significant magnetic anomaly, and the company plans to begin drilling in the fall, reliant on exploration permits. Exploration efforts include a comprehensive airborne magnetic survey and an IP orientation survey targeting well-mineralized segments of the Eagle gabbro.
The upcoming drilling will focus on the New Manitoba deposit, with limited exploration since the 1950s. Previously acquired by Grid, this area is part of the Bird River greenstone belt, known for its substantial copper/nickel deposits.
